Celia Wieland has been a freelance economic consultant since 2007 and subsequently launched wieland EconConsult in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
In the past, Celia Wieland worked at the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. At the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration she contributed to international projects that aimed to enhance information exchange between member and non-member countries and improve international tax regulations.
Previously she gained management experience in a medium-size family business and developed her project management skills working for an American company based in Germany for a number of years.
Her education includes studies in Economics and International Relations at institutions in the United States, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom and Germany.
As an exchange student, she took her first university courses at the University of Louisville, United States and then began to study International Economics, Management and Finance at Franklin College Switzerland.
She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics (summa cum laude) at The American University of Paris, France. Celia Wieland continued with graduate studies in Diplomacy and International Affairs and received a Master of Arts degree with highest distinction at the University of Westminster in London.
More recently, she participated in courses at the Advanced Study Program for International Economics at the Institute for the World Economy in Kiel, Germany, specializing in International Trade, European Economic Integration, Exchange Rate Economics, Economic Growth and Development, as well as International Financial Markets.
